Some important info re: our Greece/Turkey Study Trips
Doug Bookman and two sons-in-law , Dave Cleland, and Mike Brooks (both of them fine men clever enough to marry well above themselves!) organize and lead study trips including significant stops of Paul's missionary travels in Greece and Turkey, the isle of Patmos, and some fascinating stops along the way. Just to be cute, we title these our Slippery Bird Study Trips. (Think about it - Greece & Turkey.) The agency with whom we partner in arranging and conducting these trips is Greek Bible Tours (greekbibletours.com) - a ministry which believes the Bible just like we do.
Please know that this trip is framed as a rather intense study trip. Our focus will be not only the sites and events we will visit, but even more so the very important and under-appreciated role the church-planting ministry of "the apostle to the gentiles" played in God's history-long plan to glorify Himself. We will have teaching times all along the way, especially as we travel on our premier coach.
Further, the study trips are offered on a land-only basis - that is, the cost of the trip does not include airfare to and from Greece. Travelers are responsible to reserve and pay for their air flights on their own. For each trip an arrival date is announced and travelers are responsible to be at the designated hotel in Athens by that date. Instructions and counsel are offered as to how to get this done, but the arranging of air travel is in fact entirely the responsibility of the travelers.
